Stay Dry is a sobriety support app: a day counter, a 30-day educational program, journaling, savings tracking, calming tools, and an AI coach. Stay Dry provides support and education. It is not medical care, therapy, addiction treatment, or a substitute for any of those. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional for medical questions, including decisions about stopping alcohol or drug use. Stopping heavy drinking suddenly can be medically dangerous; talk to a doctor first.
If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you are in any emergency, do not rely on this app. Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call SAMHSA's National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357, or call 911.
You need an account to use Stay Dry. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 17 years old to use Stay Dry.
Stay Dry Premium costs $13.99 per month or $99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You can subscribe through the iOS app (billed by Apple) or on staydry.app (billed by Stripe). Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Manage or cancel where you subscribed: in your Apple subscription settings if you subscribed on iPhone, or in your Stay Dry account page on the web if you subscribed on staydry.app. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for. Unless required by law, payments are not refundable, but Apple purchases follow Apple's refund policies.
The coach is an AI. It is built to be careful and supportive, and to point you to real help when things are serious, but it can be wrong and it is not a doctor, therapist, or counselor. Never use it for medical decisions or medication questions.
Your journal entries, check-ins, and progress belong to you. We only use them to run the app for you. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to break in, scrape, overload, resell, or use the app for anything unlawful. We can suspend accounts that do.
Stay Dry is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is significant we will let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Stay Dry after a change means you accept the new terms.
