Privacy Policy

The short version

Your recovery is personal. We collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising. Sobriety data is sensitive by nature and we treat it that way.

What we collect

Account data: your email, an optional first name, and your answers to the onboarding questions. Progress data: your sobriety start date, daily check-ins, journal entries, program progress, and savings entries. Coach messages: what you write to the coach is sent to our AI provider to generate a reply, along with basic context like your first name and days sober. Billing data: handled by Apple or Stripe; we never see your card number. Basic technical logs keep the service running and safe.

How we use it

To run the app: count your days, sync your progress across your devices, personalize the coach, and manage your subscription. That's it. No selling, no ad targeting, no third-party marketing.

Where it lives

Your data is stored with Supabase (our database provider) with row-level security, so your rows are readable only by your account. Coach messages are processed by Anthropic to generate replies. Payments are processed by Apple or Stripe. Each provider only receives what it needs for its job.

What stays on your device

The app keeps a local copy of your progress so it works offline and feels instant. Signing out clears the local copy.

Your choices

You can edit your sobriety date and name in the app. You can export your journal by contacting us. You can delete your account and all of its data by emailing support@staydry.app; deletion is permanent and completes within 30 days.

Children

Stay Dry is not for children. You must be at least 17 to use it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
